I have not tried the product since, as I suspect one or more ingredients make it difficult to stretch–and I never use a rolling pin. This stuff is great — though, i also prefer the plain version and highly recommend a good 4-5 minutes in the oven before adding the toppings. To flesh out this theory (or roll it out) we tested three different kinds of premade pizza dough in the Pizzacraft kitchen to see how big of an impact a change in premade dough can really make. We prefer the plain dough then adding garlic and herbs to the top depending on the recipe, although the Garlic & Herb is good on its own. I can roll the crust so thin on silicone mat. Can't beat it for 99 cents! This method & prebaking makes for an excellent pizza, IMHO. I like the plain one the best. Usually I make my own pizza dough, but sometimes you need something quick, easy, and mess free. I found this to be decent, but not as tasy as the plain dough. The times I have used these doughs and pre-baked for 6-8 minutes before topping, they were significantly better. They make great garlic knots, breadsticks, dinner rolls, and pizza (duh). It’s a fresh item and won’t last forever. First to bake is the crust with olive oil and garlic as described above. I'm going to give it another shot but this was the first item from TJ's that I really did not like. Get frozen dough tricks and recipes with the original, garlic herb pizza dough from Trader Joe’s. It's near the cheese section. Pro Tip: take some olive oil and spread onto the outside of crust if you want it a little crispier. If you haven't tried it, yet, RUN out and get it now!
